The Armin Solognier Electric Trio

Born in Oranjestad, Aruba, Armin Solognier showed interest in music at a very early age and started studying the violin at age 7. As a teen he tried his hand at keyboards and the trumpet, however for his birthday asked for an electric guitar. He hasn’t looked back since. Armin is well-known on the local music scene, especially through his work with bands like WildFire and Acoustic Soul.

A fervent student of everything music and guitar, Armin has written almost 3 albums worth of instrumentals and with the help of the powerhouse rhythm section of Jeremy Bonarriba (drums) and José Croeze (bass) will perform a couple of these during the Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival weekend. The trio will also perform their take on a couple of all time favorites combining jazz, blues, country noir and rock.

Influenced by the likes of Edward van Halen and Stevie Ray Vaughan as well as Jim Campilongo and John Scofield, Armin’s guitar style is equal parts cultured power and brutal finesse.
