Frankie Yanga

Local five-men band Yanga Project
plays Jazz, Latin Jazz and Fusion.
The group consists of Frankie Yanga,
guitar/composer, Eddy Samson
(piano), Freddy Gollarza (percussion),
Jean Paul (saxophone) and Paulo
Kock (bass guitar). Together they have
a wealth of international experience
between them, which they have
showcased at the two previous
Caribbean Sea Jazz Festivals to much
applause and appreciation of the
public. Yanga Project plays swinging,
very accessible jazz. The band is
named after Frankie Yanga, who is an
expert on the 12-string guitar; he also
plays the bass guitar and is a vocalist
as well as a composer.
